We are looking for a Restaurant and Bars Manager (internally known as Peers Dining Room Group Manager) to join our Catering & Retail Services Office at House of Lords. This is a position where you will be responsible for providing a high-profile service for members and guests across our 5 Catering & Retail Service outlets.
This role is typically Monday – Friday onsite at Parliament, although days may change when needed – we will discuss this in detail with you at interview stage if successful. This is an exciting opportunity for someone that loves providing a high delivery of service with creativity and flair and an appetite for continuous improvement in a catering environment!
You’ll be accountable for
- Overseeing 5 Catering & Retail Service outlets.
- Line management responsibilities across the 5 Catering & Retail Service outlets, making sure the team are supported and developed.
- Delivering best service and making sure this is maintained at all times and delivered through the team.
- Observing all legislative requirements including those concerning fire, food, hygiene and health and safety at work.
- Tracking spend in line with budgetary targets.

What we’re looking for
- Proven catering management experience to a senior management level in the hospitality industry.
- Management and leadership skills with the ability to develop and inspire the team.
- Ability to communicate at a high level with discretion and tact when needed
It would be even better if you had or if you’re willing to learn…
- NVQ level 3 Diploma in Food and Beverage service or equivalent.
- Experience of Windows and Microsoft Office suites and the use of EPOS and electronic table reservation systems.
