We’re looking for a Resourcing & Talent Advisor to join our best-in-class Resourcing and Talent team in BBC Studios to drive forward our aim of increasing diversity of talent in innovative ways.
Our Resourcing and Talent Advisor leads on the delivery of the full resourcing life-cycle and will collaborate with the wider specialist teams to manage and deliver more complex resourcing projects for some of our most popular TV productions such as Eastenders, Doctors, Antiques Roadshow, Countryfile and high profile BBC Studios Science and Documentary programmes.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe Resourcing & Talent Advisor will undertake recruitment and manage an end to end pro-active resourcing service. The role exists to deliver specialist resourcing advice and delivery of recruitment services to the BBC Studios workforce, and to employees at all levels. The role advises Hiring Managers based on information received and knowledge of policy and process, whilst also understanding issues and problems and managing those accordingly.
This role will also be required to create and maintain talent pools for entry level roles and support fast paced hiring of other positions across a variety of genres in Production.
Our Resourcing and Talent Advisor will be required to provide advice and recommendations to hiring managers on recruitment policy, approaches and sourcing options in order to attract the best candidates for the BBC. You’ll prepare job adverts, sift applications, advise on selection/assessment processes and advertise copy that will appeal to the identified audience and accurately informs about BBC as an ‘Employer of Choice’. In addition, you’ll participate in candidate evaluation and selection process, including initial screening & shortlisting.
You will also ensure interviewers are guided in the chosen interview approach and BBC policy. Data plays a big part of what we do and this role will ensure the global recruitment systems and data processes are fully utilised and all records are kept up to date and are accurate, whilst also ensuring confidentiality.
A key part of this role will be to maintain a smooth flow of admin throughout the recruitment process e.g. communication to stakeholders, candidates, HR, payroll etc. You’ll work closely with the HR Service Centre to ensure timelines and quality of all related recruitment correspondence including all offers of employment and staff contracts.
The Resourcing and Talent Advisor will have excellent attention to detail, contribute to a culture of service excellence and support continuous improvement by bringing insights into the organisation to identify opportunities, risks and priorities.
Essential
- Experience in TV / Media Production, ideally within recruitment / crewing up team
- Up-to-date knowledge of best practice, approaches and thought leadership within Resourcing
- Knowledge of Employment Law in relation to talent & resourcing
- Highly credible with experience of building relationships with relevant stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; ensuring facts are correct, complete and consistent
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal and confident in dealing with the full range of business users, both in-house and external, via multiple communication channels
- Proven knowledge of GDPR processes ensuring confidentiality across all areas of the recruitment process
Desirable
- Prior experience of working within an in-house recruitment team
- ATS, CRM or candidate database experience
- Sourcing skills using social media either LinkedIn, Facebook or specific production databases
- A passion for a variety of genres and a basic understanding of TV production processes
