Residential Youth Worker
Southampton
up to £25 per hour
Full and part time hours available – starting as soon as possible
Completely Care Ltd are recruiting for a new team of experienced support staff to work within a secure children’s unit near Southampton. As a residential children’s worker you will work with a mixture of children and young people who have come from traumatic backgrounds, they will have complex emotional needs and challenging behavioural issues.
Your role will include working closely with the children, young people and permanent skilled staff within the home, supporting them to engage in activities, education and promoting day to day independent life skills. You will need a resilient, calm and positive approach as this can be a highly challenging environment.
Ideally you will hold a Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Residential Childcare, however this is not essential. You will have availability to provide our client with consistency on a weekly basis, full time and part time hours will be considered. Training can be provided if needed, this will include First Aid, Safeguarding, Medication and Food Hygiene. The possibility of restraint training for applicants who can offer regular availability will also be offered.
