Job description
Can you help us on our mission with giving young people the chance to gain independence and be the best version of themselves? If so, we would love to have you as part of our team!
About the role
The Group Living service is continually expanding to meet the needs of the young people that Roundabout is helping in South Yorkshire. Group Living is a 24/7 staffed project providing a safe place to live for Looked After young people who are typically aged 16-18.
The young people in this service may have left care homes, foster care, suffered family breakdowns or may be from other countries, and require a strong support network to enable them to gain independence.
You will be playing a vital role in helping these young people flourish and move on to independent living. This will include helping them to develop life skills such as budgeting, cleaning and cooking; supporting them to make safe choices; educating them and helping them to manage their mental wellbeing and encouraging them to build a community network.
Together, these skills will enable the young people to successfully move on to their own property and live independently in their own home.
You will work as part of a dedicated team with some shifts requiring lone working covering days, waking nights and some weekends.
