Duty of Care Limited provides high quality care for children and young people with emotional, behavioural and social difficulties. We offer Therapeutic care for children and young people aged 8 - 17 years old. You will work as a Residential Care Worker at one of our three bedded residential homes that offers a safe, secure and fun family environment for young people in the care of the local authority.
We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking and experienced Support Staff.
You will be responsible for supporting Children and Young People by engaging them in various activities such as horse riding, BMX club, days out/holidays, at home activities, cinemas, trampolining, swimming and any other activities identified.
You will also be responsible for supporting them with their education and health needs as well as ensuring that the home is kept to a high standard which will include housekeeping responsibilities. You will support the Deputy Manager and the Registered Manager in the management of the staff team.
The ideal candidate will be qualified to at least Diploma Level 2 Health and Social Care, Children and Young People or equivalent or working towards, with a view to complete a level 5 should you want to progress to management level. Successful shortlisted candidates for the Senior positions will have at least two years experience working with young people that have suffered severe trauma, multiple placement breakdowns and can display challenging behaviours as a symptom of these.
You will also be expected to be IT literate in order to prepare relevant reports and you will need to maintain good professional relationships with young people, their families and external agencies.

Both homes are located in picturesque villages, therefore the candidate would need to have full access to a vehicle and arrange business insurance accordingly.
