Advanced Adolescent Care Solutions are looking to recruit Residential Support Workers to join our expanding company. All of our homes are solo provisions for young people between the ages of 8-18 and who have Emotional, Social and Behavioural Difficulties along with other complex needs . Our young people are supported by 2 staff at all times.
As a Residential Support Worker you will be a key member of the team answering to the Registered Home Manager and providing high standards of care and support to the young person.
You will work 3 consecutive days one week and 2 sets of 2 consecutive shifts the week after, these shifts include a "sleep in" . The rota ensures 2 full weekends off each month.
Annual leave entitlement of 28 days
*A current driving licence is essential.
Following 6 months probation you will be enrolled on a Level 3/4 QCF Residential Childcare qualification if you do not have one already.
You will be doing the following:
- Support the young person in learning life skills.
- Manage the well-being and behaviour of young person ensuring behaviour's are addressed promptly and sensitively.
- Actively involved in key-work sessions and the recording of the outcomes of these sessions with the young person.
- Support the young person in daily activities, trips out and family contact if required, promoting social behaviour.
- To Support and encourage educational engagement.
- Ensure the home is kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
- Prepare meals and engage in assisting the young person develop their independence skills.
- Engage in Mandatory Training and complete any Qualifications relevant to post.
- Ensure the home is kept to a high standard.
Experience in the Residential Childcare sector is desirable.
