Salary G6 £25,878 - £30,151 (pro-rata for hours worked if part-time) plus 5% enhancement for unsociable hours and additional payments for sleeping in duties.

We are looking for people to join our residential team within Walsall where we currently operate two Children's Homes and are in the process of opening 2 additional homes in the near future.
Our work is varied where no two days are the same, for example today involves:
- Helping cook the dinner
- Helping with homework
- Playing games in the garden
- Supporting complex health needs
But tomorrow may bring;
- Attending a professionals meeting
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Planning an outing or a holiday
The Role
You will be responsible for the direct care of children, provide high levels of engagement and be highly ambitious in helping them to achieve positive outcomes.
We provide residential care for looked after children and overnight short breaks for children who have disabilities and complex needs. Our focus is directed towards a child centred approach where we actively promote children’s rights. We deliver our services in safe personalised small groups where the care is aimed at supporting children’s welfare.
Candidates must possess the ability to achieve this within 2 years of commencement of employment.

Important Information
Our homes can accommodate children up to 18 years of age. Due to the nature of this post, the DFE minimum standard states that an employee must be four years older than the oldest resident therefore applicants must be 22 years of age or older.
These posts are mainly evenings, weekends and includes sleep in shifts where you will be paid a 5% enhancement for unsocial hours and a sleep in payments. Salary is pro-rata to hours worked.
