We offer entry level positions to healthcare with a Resident Assistant position. The Resident Assistant position gives you a step into a nursing career. We provide paid training in a Certified Nursing Assistant program and we pay for the required testing to be Certified in New York State.
We offer opportunity for career advancement to pursue education as a Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Nurse.
Shift: 7am - 3pm, 10am - 6pm, 11am - 7pm, 3pm - 11pm
Resident Assistant duties include but not limited to:
Making rounds on the unit looking for items needing attention
Assist with meal service and successfully complete a feeding program to help residents get maximum nutrition intake
Deliver mail to residents; open and read mail as requested by resident
Make beds and tidy rooms
Pass clean linen
Ensure ice water is available on the units
Prepares rooms for new admissions
Makes inventory of resident's personal possessions and send items to personal laundry to be labeled.
Answer call lights and perform non- nursing duties- reporting to nursing when resident needs hands-on assistance or care from a licensed nurse
Other duties as outlined in job description.
Requirements of this position:
Must be able to read, write, comprehend and follow instructions
Communicate orally and in writing with residents, families, co-workers and the public
Must be able to pass physical examination upon offer of employment
