Job description
Our ward helper role involves keeping patients company, helping them to call home, assisting at mealtimes and supporting the ward teams with deliveries, stock management and other tasks. We have other roles too, depending on what is needed.
You will work under the guidance of healthcare professional such as a nurse and your job will vary depending on where you are based, For example, in a hospital
Wash and dress patients
Serve meals and help to feed patients
Help people to move around
Make beds
Make patients’ feel comfortable
Monitor patients’ conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight
