The Role:
We are looking for a friendly Reservations Manager to join our team. Leading the Reservations Team, you will be an important part of the Hotel Leadership Team maximising all revenue opportunities through execution of sales strategies, delivering the right rates for the right rooms at the right times. You’ll need to be both re -active and proactive and work with a forward thinking, planned approach. Being a commercial thinker you’re able to challenge the norms and drive a sales culture. You’ll ensure no booking is overlooked or unanswered and no opportunity is unconverted. You will play a key role ensuring this happens.
You are often the first person our guests speak to on the phone so it will be your responsibility to set the tone and make a great first impression. You’ll exceed their expectations, providing them with an excellent guest experience right from the start. You’ll usually be found in the Front Office taking calls or responding to booking queries of guests or clients. You’ll need to be IT savvy and be comfortable in an office environment. Much of your role will be autonomous so you’ll be confident working alone, but you will still need to be able to work as part of a team, supporting other HOD’s and the rest of the Front of House team when needed. In a customer focused role you’ll have a passion for customer service and ensuring you offer the best possible deals and packages for our guests.
The Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for an experienced Reservations Manager who has a passion for exceeding gust expectations. Previous experience managing a busy sales/call centre environment is highly desirable. You’ll need commercial experience in writing and delivering budget with monthly P&L reviews. You’ll be confident and competent using IT systems such as Microsoft Office, Opera, Concerto etc. You will need to demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both face -to -face and via phone/email, ensuring all queries are dealt with in a prompt, friendly and professional manner. It’s important that you have an outgoing personality, a flexible approach to working and a strong attention to detail.
