Job description
The Department for Continuing Education is looking for a friendly, smart and well organised Reservations Assistant. This role will be based within our Residential Centre, which offers accommodation, catering and conference facilities to students, academics and external clients.
This permanent role is full-time (36.5 hours per week), working five days out of seven with duty management weekends (1 in 4); hours will vary on weekends.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking bookings for residential accommodation, teaching rooms and catering services;
- Liaising with administrators and clients for details on their courses and inputting data on bookings system(CABS);
- Providing cover for reception and other colleagues.
You will have good word processing skills, flexibility, initiative and a cheerful and courteous personality. The post will be ideal for an individual with hospitality, reception or reservations experience.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the development and co-ordination of our conference bookings.
