RESEARCH & DATA EXECUTIVE - STARTING SALARY £30K
Rainmaker helps leading advertising, PR, and marketing agencies like Rankin Creative to find new clients. We do this by connecting them with brands like PlayStation, Depop, Uniqlo, Tesla, Nike, Canada Goose, Beyond Meat, Sonos, Revolut, Tesco and Estee Lauder. The role is to help us build our research and data capabilities, both from our fantastic workspace in buzzy Shoreditch, and optional hybrid working on Fridays.
The role involves supporting the team by researching brands and contacts, inputting, organising, and managing data, supporting our marketing director with new business and content marketing mailers, and analysing data for key insights for our service provision and marketing, and reporting on this.
THE ROLE IN MORE DETAIL
Research
- Help the team access and utilise the information and data it needs to work optimally.
- Inspire and feed the team with information and data you think will help them. For example, fast-growth, scale-up brands - so researching business, trade and investment sites will be important.
- Create, compile, and maintain lists of brand categories and sub categories. Suggest new lists and maintain them on the database. Ensure lists are easily accessible to the team.
Data
- Manage Rainmaker’s brand and contacts database.
- Create Salesforce Communities or new databases as required and manage their set up.
- Find data we need on specific companies and input on database.
- Clean and maintain the database for regulatory compliance purposes, and best practice.
Team Support
- Support the team with special research and data tasks as required.
- To inspire our team with proactive views on exciting brands looking for that next stage for growth and where research and data might help the team.
- Make recommendations on additions to the Media Monitor and install.
- Support the team with mailers: construction, management, and sending.
- Manage, and run the mailer platforms and tagging and recording events on the database.
- Attend monthly meetings with your line-manager.
Marketing
- Support the marketing director with new business and content marketing mailers.

WHAT WE’D EXPECT FROM YOU
- Experience of research and working with databases.
- Experience of Salesforce CRM would be a particular advantage, but some knowledge of CRM and martech platforms would be desirable.
- A passion for brands and marketing.
- An interest in, and you keep up to date with current affairs and business news.
- An eye for detail and enjoy organising, curating, and structuring: lists, data, information etc.
- Drive, hard work, resilience, and a willingness to learn and improve your skills.
- 100% eligibility to permanently live and work in the UK.
- Excellent English language skills
- Travelling to Shoreditch EC1 (close to Old Street tube), doesn’t present you with any problems.
