Job description
Salisbury – R&D Technician
Platform Recruitment has partnered with a market specialist in the design, manufacture and distribution of high-end audio systems. As part of the company’s expansion plan, they’re looking for a skilled R&D Technician who is experienced and interested in all aspects of PCB design maintenance, fabrication requirements and processes.
Main Duties:
+ Create and maintain PCB component libraries, Bill of materials and PCB manufacturing data within the PCB CAD and Parts Database (PLM) systems
+ Raise and administrate engineering change requests
+ Generate PCB assembly process documentation/instructions.
+ Prepare PCB data for fabrication.
+ Aid the clarification of design requirements to ensure smooth transfer for manufacturing bare boards, with considerations for design for manufacture (DFM)
Required Skills/Experience:
+ It literacy including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
+ Ability to read, analyse and interpret electrical schematics and common scientific/technical data
+ Schematic design and PCB Layout experience
+ Understanding of PCB manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacture (DFM)
+ Knowledge of different types of electronic components and ability to interpret electrical component datasheets
