Location/Division Specific Information
The PCR group combines a unique portfolio of scientific disciplines, including health sciences, psychology, psychometrics, epidemiology, and many other social sciences. This is an exciting and varied role in which you will contribute to projects focused on the selection, development, evaluation, and implementation of Clinical Outcome Assessments (COAs) and Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs). Our projects allow engagement with patients and key collaborators in all aspects of medical decision-making, with a growing emphasis on patient-engagement and patient-centered evidence. You will be joining a team well-known for the quality of its science, extensive publication track record and excellent relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs).
Position Location: EMEA, The role offers 100% remote flexibility.
Discover Impactful Work:
The Senior Research Scientist acts as an independent Principal Investigator for complex projects; expected to have comprehensive knowledge of standard methodologies in outcomes research and understand how to apply these practices to address client issues; contributes to strategic business development effort through frequent interactions with clients and “externalization” of PCR scientific capabilities; provides senior level oversight for junior level Principal Investigators.
A day in the Life:
Science
Applies knowledge of scientific methods, including quantitative and qualitative with mastery of one area
Provides scientific leadership to Outcomes Research team members.
Maintains line of research and expertise in relevant scientific areas, along with connections with new literature and regulatory documents
Publishes scientific work in journals, presents same at professional meetings and is contributing member to professional organizations
Supports new product development/scientific innovation
Strategy/Consulting
Consults on strategic insights for PRO inclusions in drug development
Plans strategic directions for the group
Provides thorough client deliverables
Develops and maintains client relationships
Financial & Business Development
Brings in leads and closes sales
Assumes significant responsibility for sales targets and client development
Responsible for ongoing stream of funded work for self and others
Contributes to Patient-Centered Research financial performance through contribution to funding stream and work allocation.
Collaborates with various Global Evidence Services practice areas to contribute to Evidera’s financial goals and understands and communicates role/impact of Global Evidence Services sales and revenues
Project Management
Handles financial performance of projects and provides guidance to others of same
Develops proposals, drafting complex steps for scientific integrity to ensure methodological and strategic aspects
Oversees and leads internal timelines to ensure that deliverables meet external client needs
Operations Support
Conducts internal scientific trainings
Supervises/mentors mid-level scientific staff
Participates in staff recruitment efforts
Identifies areas for new SOPs
Key Performance Metrics
External recognition as Outcomes Research expert
Recognition by clients as a key resource for methodology/disease area, publications and presentations
Revenue as Principal Investigator
Sales credits on projects and contribution to proposals
Contributions to strategic directions for the OR group and contributions to internal OR development

Qualifications - External
Keys to Success:
Education
MS/MA/PhD/DrPH/PharmD in a scientific subject area + proven experience in a relevant field;
Experience
Previous consulting experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Extensive knowledge of methods, pharma and regulatory strategy, pharmaceutical and biotech product development process
Global regulatory requirements related to health outcomes and measurement, and practical research implementation
Deep understanding of the positioning of PCR value messages for growing market
Key aspects of the literature (historical and current), and relevant methodology and statistics
Ability to critically review literature and contribute successfully to peer-reviewed literature in health outcomes
Extensive knowledge of drug development process and the regulatory requirements to develop OR strategies
Comprehensive knowledge of outcomes research and demonstrated ability to develop Outcomes Research solutions to client issues
Ability to supervise, mentor, and review junior level staff
Possess skills for establishing new and maintaining existing client relationships
Possess excellent communication skills, including strong presentation abilities
Required: MS Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook; ability to use Access with interface provided
Optional: ATLAS.ti, EndNote, DataFax, InFormU, PubMed/embase

This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
