What is the role?
Taking responsibility for delivering effective analysis to enhance our clients media buying and planning by running analysis and sharing across the planning and client teams in a manner that leads to better business decisions. This role will work on a main client – enhancing their media through hands on data analysis. This position does not currently require managing direct reports – but likely to change as the work expands.

What does the Market Science team do?
Enhance our client media buying and planning through useful insights bringing together different data sources and methods. We work across all the mSix practices to build data backed decision making in a consultant type role. Our projects vary from complicated geo-temporal demand modelling to simplistic excel analysis – using the tools and resources available to answer the question at hand. A small, growing dynamic team – we pride ourselves in the value we add to our internal teams and the clients we work across with precise, accurate, and insightful data analysis.
What will be your responsibilities?
- Consulting / client problem solving: Listen and understand client issues. Gather information. Consider the contribution of data and analytics. Suggest options.
- Data Formatting: Format data using Excel or R. Create data frames. Understand data matrices. Prepare data for analysis.
- Data specification: Be able to write a data specification based on the requirements of a specific project.
- Descriptive Analysis: Undertake basic descriptive analysis in Excel or R. E.g. histograms, X,Y plots, Correlations etc
- Model building and Testing: Run standard and advanced models, review results and test additional specifications to determine the best way forward to answer the clients question
- Project management: Day to day project management to help ensure projects are delivered on brief and on time
- Recruitment: Be able to source and interview the levels below your level
- Team Management: Be able to manage the grades below you
- Training: Help train other members of the team and contribute to agency training
Who are you?
- Quantitative graduate with solid experience in a marketing, media or business planning environment
- Masters in quant preferred
- Experience running MMM, incrementality tests, optimisation and other forms of media analytics tools in R or other coding languages
- Excel skills: Be proficient in the use of excel. Vlookups, indexing, Writing formulae.
- Programming capabilities in R and Python – intermediate level okay, advanced preferred – able to write functions, manipulate data, research functions and run linear and non-linear regression models in R.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products and building power point decks for analysis
- Detail oriented, takes pride in accurate and clear outputs based on triple checked data
- A desire to ensure insights are applicable and utilised by the recipients
- Clear experience developing insights that drove business change and growth
- Programming capabilities in R and Python – intermediate level okay, advanced preferred
- Entrepreneurial spirit – willing to take on new challenges, and look into answering client questions in new ways with new data sources
- Digital media channel experience a plus
