Job description
The University is seeking an experienced PET radiographer/technologist to join its team of radiographers, focusing on the University’s PET-MR scanner located at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
A good knowledge of clinical PET-CT or nuclear medicine imaging will be needed, along with a detailed knowledge and understanding of legislation underpinning nuclear medicine. As well as having excellent patient, documentation and computer skills, experience of simultaneous PET-MR imaging is desirable.
We have a range of simultaneous PET-MR studies using novel and commercial radiotracers and as well as drawing up and injecting the radiotracers, you will also act as Radiation Protection Supervisor for the suite and review forthcoming studies.
As we also have MR scanning capabilities at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust and the NIHR Manchester Clinical Research Facility, you will also be required to rotate across these sites to meet scanning demand. As such, an interest in developing MR imaging skills would be desirable.
As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
