We use reputation research at all stages of the communications planning cycle to provide timely, agile, and robust insights to find the white space, test our messaging and evaluate our impact.
GSK’s Communications and Government Affairs (CGA) function is looking for an impact-driven, proactive communications research professional to work on a wide range of strategic research projects that support how we manage and measure reputation globally. This role will involve managing primary qualitative and quantitative research projects and leveraging the insights to provide actionable recommendations to solve complex business questions.
The key responsibilities for this role are to:
Support the design and implementation of a range of reputation research projects across the communications planning cycle, including message testing, stakeholder mapping and perception research, quick-turn critical moment research, and campaign creative testing and evaluation, delivering actionable insights that act as an evidence-base for strategic decision-making and communications planning
Manage the day-to-day delivery of research projects liaising with stakeholders across the global function, commercial business, GSK markets and regions as well as with third party suppliers to ensure smooth implementation and roll-out
Work directly with a range of data and insights across the function including digital intelligence, quantitative and qualitative, working in collaboration with other insights and data science experts
Distil complex data into succinct, actionable insights, and assist in developing compelling presentations and outputs to be shared across the function
Provide strategic advice and recommendations, based on insights, to internal stakeholders
Act as an advocate of evidence-based decision-making within the function, working flexibly across teams to support the use of data and insights and joining the dots between insights to maximise their value
Play an active role in shaping how the company and CGA thinks about protecting reputation, keeping abreast of industry trends including identifying emerging reputation threats and risks
Why You?
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Significant experience of operating in a research agency / consultancy focusing on reputation research or a communications or comparable function / department / role in a highly visible public or private sector organisation
Experience and enthusiasm for engaging internal stakeholders in research programmes
Experience of managing large-scale, international research projects across a variety of audiences
Expertise in qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods and digital intelligence methodologies as well as research techniques (such as focus groups, online surveying, depth interviewing, sampling, discussion guide design)
Open to change and new ways of working, constantly looking to innovate and improve the way the organisation understands reputation
Excellent problem solver, with a proven track record of applying insights, data and research to inform decision-making
Understanding of statistical methods for data curation and analysis with experience in deploying compelling data visualisation tools and platforms
