The University of Cambridge has pre-eminent Research capabilities and these need to be supported in the best way possible. This role will work with Finance and Research colleagues to establish a new Financial Integrity of Research Activity framework, processes and provide tools for compliance with funder roles.
The Role
The role will lead and champion all financial transformation work relating to Financial Integrity of Research Activity framework and will be the business lead for this activity. The transformation will include all aspects of the Research journey from pre award through to closing and reporting on awards.
The individual will be leading on developing and owning the strategic development of financial assurance within elements of several transformation projects that are being undertaken by the University.
The role will liaise with colleagues and committees from across the University. They will be a key member of the Finance Division with strong links with the Research Operations Office.
Your Skills
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant or exceptionally by experience with strong accounting skills and a flair for systems and procedures. You must be able to manage and prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines and be able to manage people and relationships.

Location
The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment. The aim of our approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows.
Funding for this post is available for 1 year.
