About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Data Manager to join the Library and Learning Services team. In this post you will lead on advising researchers on the most appropriate ways to manage and disseminate their datasets. This will ensure good practice is followed, and compliance with funder or partner requirements is met.

You will also establish, develop, and maintain a research data service, providing leadership which will inform university policies and determine internal workflows. This will involve imparting current knowledge and leading the University research community as we commit to open research.

About You

As Research Data Manager, you will:

  • Have experience working with data, of fostering and maintaining trusted relationships and supporting research.
  • Be an excellent communicator with great liaison skills and enthusiasm; excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Lead the development of research data management at Edge Hill and work to develop research support services.
  • Work with researchers to support open access and open data.
