The UCLH/UCL partnership has been awarded the comprehensive Biomedical Research Centre status by the National Institute of Health Research The Centre for Adolescent Rheumatology Versus Arthritis at UCL, UCLH and GOSH The Centre for Adolescent Rheumatology Versus Arthritis at University College London (UCL), University College London Hospital (UCLH) and Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), the ‘Centre’, is a unique initiative established in October 2012 through partnership funding from Versus Arthritis, Great Ormond Street Children’s Charity, UCL Division of Medicine, UCL GOS Institute of Child Health), NIHR-funded Biomedical Research Centres (UCLH and GOSH BRCs) and two NHS Hospital Trusts Our mission is to improve health and well-being of adolescents with arthritis and other inflammatory rheumatological conditions through basic and translational research, with fully integrated patient involvement and engagement underpinning all our activities. The Centre is currently funded until August 2024, and has a multidisciplinary, dynamic scientific community of >50 researchers, attracting significant new funding and resources. About the role
The post-holder will carry out duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job will be directly responsible to Dr. Coziana Ciurtin, and Kathryn O’Brien (line manager) and the Centre Senior Management Team working within the Centre for Adolescent Rheumatology Versus Arthritis at UCL UCLH and GOSH. He/she will work closely with all the clinical teams at University College London Hospital (UCLH) and Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), Centre research staff, research coordinators and collaborators across UCL Division of Medicine and Institute of Child Health, as well as nationally. The appointee will be required to hold honorary contracts at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and University College London Hospital (UCLH) and will be required to obtain Criminal Records Bureau clearance. The post holder will provide support for key research activities and studies in the Centre, working for all the senior staff, and the teams, across both sites and within both Trusts.
About you
The post holder should be qualified to degree level within a relateddiscipline, preferably numerate/scientific background. Previous experience ofmanaging/coordinating research trials and of working in a multidisciplinaryteam.
