Applications are invited for the role of Research Associate/Fellow in the School of Medicine, University of Nottingham. You will be joining the Academic Unit, Translational Medical Sciences and will be based in the Biodiscovery Institute (https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/research/research-areas/biodiscovery-institute/biodiscovery-institute.aspx), with access to a range of state-of-the-art facilities.
Joining an established team, led by Dr Daniel Booth whose main areas of research interest include chromosome biology and cell division www.themitosisbooth.com, you will be working on a research project to characterise the functional importance of Ki67, the famous cancer proliferation marker, at the surface of mitotic chromosomes. In order to carry out the research, you will have the skills and experience needed to use the approaches or methodologies and techniques appropriate to the type of research, including multi-modal imaging, CRISPR editing and advanced proteomics.
The successful candidate will be highly analytical, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships with others.
This is a full-time (36.25 hours) post, offered on a fixed term contract to 30th June 2026.
