We have an exciting opportunity in the School of Education, for a Research Associate who will take a key role in the delivery of the research project: ‘Mental Health Medications in the Lives of People with Learning Disabilities’ (NIHR204107). The role will involve working closely with co-researchers with learning disabilities from project partners (Manchester People First, Sunderland People First, SpeakUp Self Advocacy, and People First).
We’re looking for a candidate with a doctoral level qualification in a relevant area & the ability to undertake research by preparing, setting up, conducting and recording the outcome of experiments and/or field work. You will organise and support the activities of the research team, including travelling to carry out research activities in the North of England. You will make a full and active contribution to the principles of the ‘Sheffield Academic’. These include the achievement of excellence in applied teaching and research, and scholarly pursuits to make a genuine difference in the subject area and to the University’s achievements as a whole.
