We Are With You is a substance misuse service with permanent offices across Lincolnshire in Grantham, Lincoln and Boston. We aim to support anyone who considers their drug or alcohol use to be a problem.
As a Research Assistant, you will play an integral role in the Integrated Trauma Service by working closely with the Principal Investigator/Research Officer to examine the concurrent treatment approach for coexisting substance misuse and trauma
About the job
You will be part of our Integrated Trauma Services team, conducting and providing support on numerous projects throughout the service. The day-to-day responsibilities of the role will vary depending on the project, this may include, and will not be limited to, producing reports, papers and other publications, participarting in research meetings and consistently liaising with internal and external collaborators. As well as joining internal research activities including seminars, and group conferences.
The service is currently developing, refining, evaluating and implementing a dual focus on a concurrent treatment approach for coexisting substance misuse and trauma.
REQUIRED SKILLS
To do this job successfully, you will need:
- experience of relevant research methods
- an honours degree in a relevant subject
- the abillity to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
- to be confident working in a team environment, able to work collaboratively with everyone
- to be organised, able to manage and prioritise your time and deal with changing and conflicting demands with ease
- a keen desire in personal and professional development
- good analytical skills with an eye for detail
- the strong ability to work under pressure effectively
- a can do, result-driven and positive attitude
- some flexibility with working hours and location from time to time
DESIRABLE SKILLS
If you have worked in a charitable organisation before and/or have knowledge and experience of our client group, that would be an advantage but is not essential
If you have a masters degree in a relevant subject and experience in a substance misuse setting, this would be desirable but not essential
