Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Research Assistant with a background in nutrition and/or dietetics. The postholder will be involved in setting up, co-ordinating and conducting a large trial on a nutritional intervention in mental and gut health. The postholder will assist in the day to day running of the project, including (but not necessarily limited to) preparation/baking/sourcing of the nutritional intervention products, recruitment of study participants, delivery of the dietary intervention, maintaining study documentation, co-ordinating subject correspondence, conducting study visits, ensuring measurements of primary and secondary outcomes are conducted according to standard operating protocols, collecting and processing biological samples, and assisting with data entry and analysis. The post-holder will be based within the department of Nutritional Sciences in the School of Life Course & Population Sciences (Waterloo campus) and will report to Dr Eirini Dimidi.
This is an exciting opportunity for the postholder to develop and refine nutrition research skills in an emerging scientific area, and work closely with a dynamic team of mental health and nutrition experts.
