Research Assistant
Vision, Speech & Signal Processing
This is a great opportunity for a Data Science/Machine learning PhD to grow their career in our Datalab team within the Data Innovation Hub for Animal Health (DIHAH). Our aim is to enhance animal welfare and healthcare through the use of AI and data insights. This role is to primarily support the development of added value data, analytics, AI and machine learning models that contribute to the InnovateUK-funded FarmSense project in collaboration with our partners at SRUC, Zoetis, Roboscientific and Innovent Technologies Ltd. We are looking for an individual with a PhD or equivalent experience in machine learning and data science, with skills in Python/Matlab, and ideally MySQL/PowerBI. You will also have some experience in presenting your work to a wide range of stakeholders and have a keen interest in publishing novel scientific research.

This role will complement our existing strengths in data science through proven expertise in statistical analysis and development and implementation of database technologies for the provision of new solutions in research, industry or education.
This is a fixed term contract for up to 12 months.
