Job description
Summary
This position is for an undergraduate or master's student research assistant with strong abilities in mathematics, statistics, and coding to work on a project related to the analysis of police violence. Analysis of policing related data in Detroit through computational and statistical methods. Proficiency in R and/or Python required, also general background in statistics and mathematics. This position will be under the supervision of Dr. Tian An Wong.
Required Qualifications*
Current UM-Dearborn undergraduate or master's students.
Excellent organizational, analytic, and communication skills.
Desired Qualifications*
familiarity with difference in difference analysis, spatial correlation, SVD, and other statistical techniques
