College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine / Clinical Sciences / Institute for Regeneration and Repair / Centre for Inflammation Research
Full-time: 35 hours per week
Fixed-term: for 12 months initially
We are looking for a Research Assistant who will help facilitate a programme of research investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating liver fibrosis.
The Opportunity:
Under the guidance of the PI and senior laboratory members of staff, help facilitate a programme of research investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating liver fibrosis.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- An undergraduate degree in the biological field is required, and significant laboratory experience and knowledge of the research field would be a strong advantage.
- Applicants must be willing to work in an interdisciplinary environment and develop new skills.
- Evidence of a strong track-record in some aspect of biology.
- Evidence of a strong work ethic, independent thinking and ability to work as part of a research team.
- Interest in the mechanisms underlying liver fibrosis, tissue regeneration and discovery of anti-fibrotic and pro-regenerative therapies.
