A fixed term Research Assistant position is available in the group of Dr Jürgen Müller. You will hold an honours degree in biological sciences, biomedical sciences, chemistry, or a related relevant subject. You will join a vibrant and productive research environment, working together with established investigators, PhD students, visiting researchers and undergraduate students. You will support the work of the group through participation in laboratory research, data acquisition, evaluation and interpretation. This post will specifically involve the analysis of cell signalling pathways in neuroprotection. The successful applicant will be performing a range of experiments, including culturing primary neurons, undertaking functional assays and using biochemical techniques to analyse a range of cellular parameters relevant for the investigation of neurodegenerative disease.
We are looking for a candidate able to demonstrate research potential and an enthusiasm for the subject matter. This is an excellent opportunity to participate in original research projects and to gain advanced experience in cell and molecular biology as well as biochemistry.
This is a fixed-term position starting on 1st April 2023 and ending on 31st December 2023. Interviews will be held week commencing 20th March 2023.
