We are seeking a research analyst to support InvestmentNews, a leading business-to-business title covering the US wealth management industry. The candidate for this role would be part of a small research team managing databases, industry rankings, reader surveys, research reports and other custom projects. The full-time role is fully remote and reports to the Director of Research while working closely with other business units.


Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Design surveys in coordination with multiple stakeholders, including editorial staff, sales and event teams, and third-party clients
  • Clean, process and analyze large datasets to create digestible narratives for various audiences (e.g. editorial, marketing, readers)
  • Communicate research findings to internal and external stakeholders in written briefs and presentations
  • Write occasional copy for survey emails, infographics and research summaries
  • Support inbound data queries from internal and external clients

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in a research or analytics role
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong data visualization skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask and transition between projects with ease
  • Self-starter that does not require micromanagement


Preferred qualifications

  • Familiarity with financial markets and the banking and insurance industries
  • Experience using survey platforms such as Qualtrics
  • Intermediate experience with JavaScript
