Applications are invited for a Research administrator, to work with a team working with Prof Susah Jebb and Prof Paul Aveyard on a research projects within the Health Behaviours team. The team focus is on improving public health through high-reach individual behavioural interventions to help people who have poor diets, are overweight, or who smoke.
The successful applicant will be working in the vibrant Health Behaviours team, supporting researchers who are running trials to look at new treatments for obesity. Responsibilities will include by responsible for the day-today administrative tasks, such as organizing meetings, taking notes, managing supplies, processing invoices, as well as acting as a first point of contact for patients and GP staff.
You will have experience of working in an administrative role, be able to use standard computer programmes, including using databases, have good organisational skills and excellent communications skills including a good telephone manner. You do not need any pre-existing expertise in health or research.
You will be based in the Health Behaviours Team, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG as your normal place of work but there may be the opportunity for occasional remote working. You will be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager. This post is advertised as full-time, but applications for part-time are welcome.
The position is funded by NIHR and Novo Nordisk Foundation, for until 30th September 2025 in the first instance.
