Job description
Are you passionate about clinical coding?
UK healthcare advisory, Monmouth Partners, are seeking remote clinical coders, with a minimum of 2 years practical clinical coding experience, to join our expanding team.
This is a great opportunity to join an established team which delivers a variety of clinical coding support for both NHS and independent hospitals across England. If you are looking for an opportunity to widen your horizons, work across multiple organisations and develop your coding skills within a closely knit team, this is the role for you.
Remote Clinical Coder Role
Ideally you should already be ACC qualified. If not, you should be aiming to achieve this within 18 months of joining us and we will support you through this process. Beyond ACC, we will back you to develop at your pace.
Specifically, the role will involve:
- Clinical coding in line with both internal and external (e.g. national NHS Digital Clinical Classification Service, CCS) standards and requirements
- Working remotely for both NHS Trusts and independent hospitals
- Participating in our internal professional development and quality assurance programme - we set a benchmark of consistently achieving NHS Digital's "Standards Exceeded" attainment level
- Working with other members of the coding team to continually develop our sector-leading online Clinical Coding Academy.
(Monmouth Partners has a central London office and offers the opportunity to work from the office/client sites on an ad hoc or flexible basis, if preferred/desired).
Candidates will need experience in/a proven track record of:
- Clinical coding to NHS standards for procedures (OPCS) and diagnoses (ICD-10) - minimum of 2 years practical experience required
- Accredited Clinical Coder (ACC) status achieved, or be actively working towards achieving this within the next 18 months
- Team working and a strong grasp of current developments within clinical coding.
The role is full-time and will be home-based. There is some scope for flexibility for hybrid working if desired. Monmouth also hosts team meetings and staff get togethers throughout the year to support coders to maintain their skills and nurture team working.
If you are interested in finding out more, please forward a brief covering note / letter and attach a copy of your current CV.
We look forward to hearing from you.
