General:
Location – Manor Park, Newham
Hours – 37.5 per week – Including weekends and some bank holidays
Salary – £13,260 per annum
Revival House is a faith-based organisation and place of Christian worship; our beliefs are foundational to everything we do. The post-holder will be expected to share these beliefs, join in the spiritual life of the church and work actively to support our ministry and vision.
This post is key in enabling growth in the ministry and mission of Revival House. In line with our mission “Connect, Belong, Discover, Influence” and as well as providing effective administration within the church. The post-holder will be expected to be a key face and voice of the church to the wider community, better enabling us to serve our community.
This position requires an exceptional degree of professionalism and the ability to work in a demanding environment, where multi-tasking, sound decision making, self-motivation and discretion are essential.
Equally the post-holder will need confidence and proven organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Terms of appointment
- 5 years’ experience working with children in a church setting as a committed worker or volunteer in Children’s’ Ministry.
- Diploma in Early Childhood
- Must be able to communicate in English & Swahili both in speaking & writing
- A full enhanced DBS check will be carried out prior to appointment

Oversee
To oversee and co-ordinate 2 curriculums for different children age groups in the church during our weekend services. These aid worship, study, fellowship, parent’s involvement, service experiences, and other experiences that guide children as they grow in faith.
Support
To support the wider church teams and projects.
Engagement
To regularly and intentionally communicate with parents, families, and children ministry leaders in other churches, denominations, and non-profits, so that children have multiple opportunities to thrive.
Spiritual growth
Encourage spiritual growth of children and volunteers.
Motivation
Seek creative methods to keep children motivated.
Safeguarding policy
To ensure our safeguarding policy is implemented across all our work with children.
Training
To regularly train & support the volunteers of each of the children groups.
Recruitment
To proactively help recruit volunteers and other helpers for our children groups.
Improvement
To explore ways in we can better serve the children in our church and community.
Support staff
To support the current staff team in completing additional tasks, including specific support as required by the senior minister.
Administration
To complete all administrative tasks for the children ministry
