Role Overview:
To be responsible for the supervision, care, well-being, and safety of children with special educational needs while they are transported to and from school in transport provided or commissioned by the Council.
Key Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for the comfort, safety, and well-being of pupils, to ensure their safe arrival at school or home as appropriate.
- To provide a link between home and school as appropriate
- To contribute to a customer-orientated approach, to ensure that Service users receive an efficient, high-quality service
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:
- Must be able to respond to changing circumstances, for example pupils across the age ranges 4 to 25 years with learning, physical and / or behavioural difficulties, journeys within and across the Oldham boundary to mainstream and special schools.
- Must be able to communicate sensitively and confidentially with adults and children.
- Must be able to meet a child’s individual care needs.
