Job description
We are seeking a Reliability Engineer to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations. The role can be divided into smaller, more manageable roles: Loss Elimination, Risk Management and Life Cycle Asset Management.
The key accountabilities of the role will include:
- Ensure plant and equipment is optimised, monitored and maintained safely and to a high level of reliability and efficiency, with minimal lifetime cost.
- To be the deputy for specific engineering compliance activities such as: Pressure Safety Systems, HV & LV, Boiler Safety, F-GAS, LOLER and LEV.
- Provide detailed engineering input to specified maintenance activities, advising on best practice through updated technology where appropriate.
- Work closely with the Maintenance team in the investigation of plant failures through RCA, suggesting plant replacements or continuous improvement activities.
- Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. This includes safety, capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance.
- Increase productivity levels through developing and supporting a culture of problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Work with Project Engineering Teams to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
- Participates in the final check and hand over of new installations. This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specifications and the asset is put into operational status in the proper condition.
- Develop new asset’s maintenance program, this will include critical spares, operator maintenance plans, preventative and predictive maintenance procedures as recommended by the OEM
10. Create an environment where all employees are active contributors in the team.
11. Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines the asset maintenance plan that includes:
- Value-added preventative maintenance tasks
- Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems.
12. Defines the site lubrication and CBM best practice to ensure intrusive maintenance is kept to a minimum.
13. Develop positive and constructive relationships with contractors and suppliers. Identify opportunities to improve contractor/supplier performance, reduce costs and improve the quality of the services/products supplied.
14. Applies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and make/buy decisions.
