Founded in April 2020, our 120+ strong team combines climatic and earth sciences, sell-side financial research, earth observation, machine learning, data and technology, engineering, and public policy expertise. We work from four continents.

Job Description:

BeZero (BZ) is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our Developer Engagement team as a Relationship Manager to act as the primary point of contact across our different communication streams with our project developer community but also Standard Bodies. The candidate's primary goal will be to build on BZ’s current reputation ensuring that its ratings are recognised and considered of the highest level of rigour and integrity, as well as ensuring that stakeholders consistently express positive feedback in regards to our engagement initiatives. Other responsibilities will include collaborating with the broader commercial team to identify commercial opportunities and the product & innovation team to identify product development opportunities.

The successful candidate will report to BeZero’s Director of Developer Engagement and will be able to work 2 days a week remotely, with the other 3 days from our London-based office.

Responsibilities:

• External engagement with Project Developers, Standard bodies and VCM key stakeholders involved with industry wide initiatives.

• Attending meetings with project developers and the BZ rating team to foster an increased understanding of the BeZero Carbon rating framework and promote best practices in terms of carbon project methodology implementation and data disclosure bringing the VCM in line with traditional financial markets.

• Working internally with Communications, Research and Ratings to ensure feedback received on our ratings are known across the business and enable the creation of educational materials targeted to project developers and Standard Bodies

• Engaging with developers and standard bodies to gather insight on the most pervasive challenges with the aim to develop solutions for the wider market.

• Representing BeZero Carbon at industry events

• Identifying and mapping stakeholders for key market participants , and establishing an engagement strategy based on their profile.

• Supporting stakeholder consultations, developing surveys, managing external feedback channels and analysing/reporting on key themes

• Planning and delivery of events, both physical and virtual based on market requests, developing tailored materials, developing Q&As and briefing colleagues when required

• Business development- unlocking a new market segment for the use of the BeZero Carbon Market platform.

You will be our ideal candidate if you:

• Have excellent networking and communication skills.

• Have strong organisational skills and discipline to be able to prioritise and work efficiently and effectively under shifting deadlines.

• Are fluent in English; other languages are a plus.

• Are proactive and ambitious, work well both alone and in a team, and can bring about new ideas on engagement.

• Have a keen eye for new business opportunities.

• Are able to digest and organise large volumes of information quickly, and stay abreast of the ever-changing VCM landscape.

• Are curious with a desire to learn, improve, apply new knowledge throughout your engagement work

• Preferred: Have demonstrated professional experience in the voluntary carbon market either with developers or standard bodies
