We are seeking a customer focused and commercially minded person to join this team in the role of Relationship Manager. The Relationship Manager will provide dedicated customer service to a portfolio of clients with accountability for sales, service, risk and operational delivery. This role will have both external and internal stakeholders, Internal stakeholders may include Sales, Product Development, Risk & Compliance teams. Your responsibilities will include: Face to face meetings with SME clients, with an average of 65 clients in portfolioManaging portfolio incomes of approximately £1.5 – £2m and SME clients with a £5-15m turnoverDriving revenue growth through understanding customer needs and by adopting a needs-based approach which engages clients and increases new businessGrowing the business sustainably, by identifying opportunities to expand a portfolio and broadening client relationships by leveraging HSBC's extensive networkBuilding a strong understanding of the client's business and industry to promote insights, enrich client conversations and deliver fair outcomesComprehensive understanding of the client through pro-active credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews Requirements The ideal candidate for this role will have: Experience of working in relevant environments, i.e. Relationship Management, Business/Corporate Banking.Experience of working with customers and building relationships.Commercial credit and lending experience.A passion for delivering excellent customer service and proactively looking for innovative ways to improve this service.Experience of winning or developing new business.Comprehensive understanding of risk management and the relevant regulatory processes. Please Note: This is a hybrid role based at 1 Centenary square, Birmingham. The successful applicant will be required to undertake frequent travel in the wider Midlands area for face to face meetings with clients as well as attending Worcester or Birmingham offices on a regular basis.
