This role involves you being responsible for a portfolio of clients in line with the strategy for the Edinburgh area within Corporate Banking, with a focus on client acquisition, maintenance, relationship development and retention together with management of all aspects of risk.

Demonstrating a client centric approach to deliver solutions for existing clients and new to bank prospects to meet their short and long term needs by working collaboratively with other areas of the organisation to achieve
Developing and managing a portfolio of customer transactions, supporting clients, retaining, and growing business.
Building and managing external relationships promoting the reputation and image of Santander with customers and external stakeholders, including building a strong professional advisor network.
Approaching the role with a digital mindset, optimising use of digital tools including Salesforce, nCino and digital onboarding.
What you’ll bring.
Has a deep understanding of the corporate banking sector alongside a proven relationship management ability, including excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Full understanding of the relationship between risk and return, utilising Bank models to support returns analysis on lending deals for clients and prospects
It would also be nice for you to have.
Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM systems and Office 365.
Good organisational skills. Prioritises workload ensuring client and business deadlines are met.
Line management, coaching, development experience
Existing relationships within the Edinburgh / East of Scotland business community

This is a permanent role. We support a hybrid working model operating out of our Edinburgh Office.

Eligible for a discretionary performance-related annual bonus
We put 8% of salary into your pension, even if you don’t contribute yourself. We’ll pay in up to 12.5% of salary, if you contribute as well, and you can take some of our contribution in cash if you prefer
30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, which increases to 31 days after 5yrs service, with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year
