Job description
Could you make a difference to someone who has had a life changing spinal or acquired brain injury event, through physical activity, meaningful activity or helping to communicate their needs?
We are seeking new members to our team who share our passion for the care and holistic rehabilitation of patients that have experienced life changing injuries.
The Band 4 rehabilitation coach roles will work across both our specialist spinal and neuro rehabilitation wards in the spacious and modern new rehabilitation centre at University Hospital Llandough.
The innovative Band 4 Rehabilitation Coaches will support the practice of the multidisciplinary team (including Dietetics, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Clinical Psychology) to deliver the therapeutic goals of people undertaking rehabilitation. They will also be responsible for delivering person centred meaningful activities working closely with patients, their relatives and carers, volunteers as well as the professionals involved.
A key aim of the role is to deliver rehabilitation across 7 days to improve flow and enhance the patient experience. Therefore, rotas will include weekends and bank holidays as well as week day shifts.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
