Our Solutions ESG Regulatory Readiness team is within J.P Morgan's Wealth Management Portfolio Solutions and Research Support. Therefore, you will support the program management required to complete requirements, to help identify, advise and implement processes to ensure compliance with ESG-driven regulatory changes impacting the Wealth Management platform and products. You will perform detailed analyses and define feasibility plans, coordinate delivery of results across different teams and departments, manage and report progress through project plans and other reporting tools, and drive the implementation of business solutions and change management initiatives. The size and duration of each project will vary but the objectives will focus on similar key aspects such as risk mitigation, process efficiency, technology enablement and business development.
Job Responsibilities
- Partnering with colleagues that are engaged with sustainable investing regulations across the firm, in product development, marketing, operations, technology and control functions
- Support the product owner in defining strategy and deciding what should be built
- Driving execution of day-to-day priorities for ESG product partners including Technology Developers, Designers, Project management, and Business Subject Matter Experts (SME)
- Extracting timely, meaningful and decision-useful insights from multiple ESG data sets
- Drive scrum and sprint planning meetings, create JIRA stories, run grooming sessions, run retrospectives and other Agile ceremonies
- Produce regular and ad-hoc material to support various regulatory committees and working groups
- Driving execution of day-to-day priorities for ESG product partners including Technology Developers, Designers, Project management, and Business Subject Matter Experts (SME)
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Relevant prior experience managing global, large scale projects or business initiatives across lines of businesses with experience facing all functions, regions and senior stakeholders within the organisation
- Demonstrated accountability for work processes and the associated risks and controls
- Appreciation of controls, data governance and oversight and target operating models
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and fostering an open working environment
- Ability to define business requirements for technology solutions and interface with technology partners
- Understanding of regulatory/legal landscape related to the investment product process
- Ability to work with audit, compliance and regulatory constituencies to manage work in accordance with established procedures and relevant regulations and laws
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Relevant prior experience with hands-on regulatory change, change transformation, as a program manager or platform lead in a complex organization with direct asset and wealth management multi-asset experience
- Proven ability to manage a large book of work in a cross-functional and matrixed organizational model, parse complex technology/delivery details to make them understandable to a wide audience, and drive concepts to execution; strong written and verbal communication skills to thrive on a global team
- Demonstrated experience managing and collaborating with multiple teams, coordinating across different cross-functional initiatives, and reaching consensus with diverse stakeholders
- Strong background and proven ability to transform processes across multiple business areas; Vocal in challenging business-as-usual operating models and recommending innovative improvements
