Reporting the Senior Associate Registrar for Student Services, the Assistant Registrar for Operations, Processing and Credentials works to oversee processing including accelerated program plan changes, transcript generation, study abroad registration support, military grade and conferral submissions, readmitting former students, program plan updates, non-degree registration including prerequisite checking, and additional support, validation of credentials, returning student reviews, and the degree conferral process.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience working in a Registrar’s Office; excellent customer service skills; systems and process improvement experience; and the ability to communicate with diverse a diverse campus population.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide strategical oversight for processing major changes, monitoring transcript orders, non-degree enrollment and training staff to efficiently perform those daily tasks.
  • Coordinate support of non-degree students and other special populations across registrar office and campus community.
  • Assist Senior Associate Registrar with non-degree articulation agreements and contracts.
  • Collaborate with graduation analysts and Student Support Specialist staff to establish best practices for processes impacting student enrollment, transfer of credit and review of student records to ensure degree completion requirements for graduation.
  • Lead all Registrar office responsibilities in commencement.
  • Collaborate with the Transfer Credit functional area to support all posting of transfer credit and study abroad credit throughout the academic year
  • Coordinate registrar office staff involvement in commencement exercises and manage the printing, ordering and accuracy of diplomas.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of diplomas to graduates and lead the University’s Certified Electronic Diploma initiative and partnership with Paradigm.
  • Respond to student inquiries related to military tuition assistance and ensure the institution is in compliance with all military grading and degree conferral reporting.
  • Perform registration duties including enroll/drop/withdraw, printing of transcripts and enrollment verifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Two years of professional higher education work experience
  • Experience with records (such as course history, course registration, degree completion planning) and registration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience working in a Registrar’s Office
  • Demonstrated experience improving business process to meet operational goals
  • Knowledge of compliance reporting, FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and/or local and federal regulations regarding higher education records and privacy
  • Experience with higher education systems and applications such as PeopleSoft, Banner, OnBase, Parchment, and/or Paradigm
