Temporary Contract | 22.2 hours per week | £24,496 to £26,845 per annum (pro rata for part time) (Grade F) | Norwich

Registrars are there to record all the significant events in life, they register births and deaths and take notices of marriage and civil partnership. They conduct and register ceremonies and offer other associated services. We need someone to join our team in Norwich as a Registrar to ensure this frontline service is delivered to customers effectively and efficiently.

In registration there is a lot to learn and retain, we provide thorough training for all the duties. The successful candidate will be a quick learner, who can perform well under pressure and at speed and is comfortable working on their own. Applicants need to adapt well to change and be flexible as the duties may vary from week to week. The successful candidate will need to travel to offices around the county sometimes at short notice, so will hold a current driving license and have their own transport. This post (detailed above) includes a regular Saturday with enhanced pay.

Applicant must possess excellent IT skills, spelling and grammar and will need to have good inter-personal skills. Experience of registration is desirable but not essential. Candidates will need to demonstrate a commitment to great customer service and meet our high expectations for service delivery and team work.
