Your role and responsibilities
We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a minimum of 1 year post qualification experience for this unique opportunity. If you're looking to develop your skills, you will have the chance to experience the best of both worlds with a role split between working in a busy hospital environment and supporting a smaller branch practice.
This is a role where your nursing skills are utilised to their full potential and is a great opportunity for professional development in an area of your interest with further study actively encouraged and supported.
In this role, you will be a key member of the nursing team at Whittlesford, working effectively with the Clinical Nurse Manager, Lead Nurses and Clinicians. While at Royston, you would work closely with the Head Vet and support the delivery of excellent client and patient care.
This role will incorporate a wide breadth of nursing duties, incorporating the management of complex medical and surgical patients, provision of perioperative care, assisting with the provision of anaesthesia and schedule III procedures, as well as supporting the patient journey from admission to discharge, providing nurse consults and the provision of outstanding client care

Our rota:
- 42hrs/week
- Monday to Wednesday at Royston
- Thursday and Friday Whittlesford
- 1 in 6 weekends at Whittlesford (3 days TOIL allocated for weekends)
- 1 x Bank holiday/year, and share of the alternative Out of hours Rota (EIN).

Whittlesford practice is located in a beautiful village, south of Cambridge close to Whittlesford Parkway with direct links to London. Whittlesford practice is a purpose-built site which is well-equipped with full digital diagnostic facilities, laboratory, operating theatre, separate dog and cat wards and ample parking on site
Our Royston site is situated next to the station and close to the town centre, the practice aims to provide first-class veterinary care and the friendly team has established a loyal client following in the heart of the community. Again, the practice is well equipped and both sites are ISFM/ RCVS PSS accredited
