At Village Chiswick, we are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to complete our passionate and friendly clinical team.
We are a well-established, Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) accredited, small animal primary care practice that covers the locations of London, Hertfordshire, and Cambridgeshire. Alongside all our primary care services we also have four 24-hour continuous care hospitals made up of our highly certified specialists and general practice staff to ensure the highest form of veterinary care for the benefit of pets and clients alike.
Village Vet, Chiswick is in an area of London filled with green spaces and a sense of city-meets-village. The practice is in a prime location on the High Road which boasts countless cafes, restaurants and independent shops. The practice is very well-established in the area and are very fortunate to have lovely clients who are very dedicated us and their pets.
Your role and responsibilities
At Village Vet, Chiswick we are seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to complete our passionate and friendly clinical team.
Our nursing team consists of 2 RVNs, who are supported by a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) and a dedicated Client Care team.
We are a 3-Vet practice, and we have vets working towards post-graduate certificates in surgery and diagnostic imaging. This allows us to carry out a high level of diagnostic procedures, as well as perform complex soft tissue surgeries and orthopaedics on-site. This creates a rewarding and interesting clinical environment for our nursing team.
Our nurses are highly valued and have strong input into the nursing care of all patients. They can utilise their skills in managing in-patients, conducting nurse-led clinics, undertaking Schedule 3 procedures, monitoring anaesthesia, assisting with surgeries and carrying out all associated peri-operative care.
We consider the nurse team to be key to the continued success of the business, and therefore ensure the practice is well equipped in order to provide the best for our clients and their pets.
This role would suit an RVN wishing to join a talented, inclusive clinical team who support each other and genuinely enjoy working together.
To enable us to fully support our students, we are looking for an RVN with at least 1 year's post qualification experience. A Clinical Coach qualification would be advantageous; however, encouragement and training would be given to those without previous coaching experience.
Developing and empowering our nurses is very important to us. As a Linnaeus Associate, you will have access to over 150hours of pre-recorded CPD covering a variety of topics including our AVA accredited anaesthesia and analgesia modular course.

Don't just take our word for it
“My journey with Village Vet began when I did some shifts for them as a locum nurse while studying for the last year of my BSc course. The reason I stayed and become one of their full-time veterinary nurses was the supportive, compassionate, and bubbly personality from all the team members. Most importantly, everyone at Village Vet provides their utmost care and responsibility towards every patient and client, which I value a lot as a veterinary nurse. The wide range of sources supplied by Village Vet also allows me to enhance my skills and knowledge. I am glad to be part of the team and would like to continue making more memories there. “
