Salary: £30,599.69 - £34,424.65 (dependant on experience)

About the Role

You will be a Registered Nurse or Midwife with a current Nursing and Midwifery Council Pin and will share our vision of making choice a reality for everyone. You will be provided with a bespoke training package tailored to your clinical experience to equip you in delivering safe and effective abortion care to our clients.

We are looking for a dedicated, passionate and committed Registered Nurse or Midwife to join our team within our Bristol clinic. Working in the Bristol clinic, you will have access to good public transport links, car parking onsite, local convenience stores and become part of an experienced nurse-led team which focusses on colleagues personal development and training in a supportive well-established and clinically developed environment. You can expect to work in a hands-on, fast-paced, dynamic setting where you will be encouraged and empowered to develop and strengthen your clinical and professional skills.

You can expect to work in a centre that performs both Early Medical Termination of Pregnancy (EMA) up to 9 weeks and 6 days, in addition to Surgical Termination of Pregnancy (SToP) up to 23 weeks and 6 days (legal limit) whilst providing contraception and post-treatment services as required. There is an expectation to work from our vasectomy satellite centres as required (which can include weekends paid at an uplifted rate) in Paulton, Stroud, Woking, Wootton Bassett, Frimley Green, Stratford Upon Avon, Nuneaton and Oxford.

There is an expectation, once fully trained, to travel and work independently in our community treatment centres in St Austell, Exeter, Paignton, Plymouth, Westbury, Bournemouth and Poole Training to become fully competent in the role takes approximately 6 months – 1 year.

About You

To perform this role, it is essential that you have the following skills:

  • Experience in working in sexual health or gynaecology
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills for supporting our diverse client population
  • Excellent record keeping
  • Strong clinical knowledge and good analytical skills
  • 2 years experience as Registered Nurse / Midwife
  • Good time management skills
  • Ability to manage risk effectively, prioritising workloads accordingly
  • Good IT skills (full training on internal programs will be provided)
