Job description
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized patient care as the named nurse, taking a holistic and proactive approach to those with oncological/haematological care needs.
- Provide leadership and flexibility in staffing situations, occasionally deputizing for the Sister/Charge Nurses.
- Promote patient safety, maintain professional conduct, and collaborate with patients in their care journey.
- Foster positive working relationships within the multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective care and treatment of patients.
- Maintain accurate and legible nursing records, proficiently utilizing Meditech and Mosaiq systems.
Skills & Experience:
- Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Post-registration experience in an acute setting, with exposure to Oncology and/or Haematology nursing.
- Completion of post-registration courses in oncology or haematology, chemotherapy administration, and/or cancer foundation courses.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a calm demeanor and effective problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Salary: £33,061 - £42,955 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting and shift enhancements), depending on skills and experience.
