Job description
Key responsibilities Work as part of a team, providing assistance and cover when necessary in all Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust Nurseries when applicable with in a development capacity. To work towards keeping accurate records of childs progress, any injury and incidents occurring to any of the children, or staff, at any time (even outside Nursery hours) and report this information to the senior team members. To contribute to risk identification and incidents and near misses. Proactively manage risks to safeguard children and report concerns to senior team members.
To work towards taking part in monitoring and improving the quality of child care provided with participation with audits or similar programs. To undertake training and education to progress skills as indicated by service development needs, and to become involved in special projects as appropriate. To work towards being responsible for small amounts of petty cash on nursery outings. May be required to demonstrate role and duties to trainers and senior staff, and other staff working in the service.
