Main duties of the job
- Undertake pre-assessment screening prior to theatre date.
Be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care through assessment protocols as to whether the patient is medically fit to undergo their operation/procedure
The post holder will identify actual and potential health problems, which may require referral to consultant/medical/anaesthetic staff
Supervise junior staff and to participate in the teaching of students on both basic and post basic courses.
Maintain his/her personal and professional development.
Participate in effective utilisation of resources.
Act in accordance with the NMC Professional Code of Conduct.

Trust Location: Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust
Pay Rates: Day-£14.92 Night - £19.40 Sunday/Bank Holiday -£23.88 (Per hour)
Shift Pattern:08:30-16:30 5 days a week 07:30 17:30 9 day fortnight 08:00-16:00 5 days a week. 07:30-13:30 5 days a week (30 hour contract)

- Registered Nurse with current UK NMC registration Degree / diploma in nursing studies
