Job description
To work autonomously managing a caseload of AKI patients , reviewing patients, ensuring bloods are taken , assessing fluid balance, identifying patients that require review by the renal team, facilitating Haemodialysis if required To be responsible for assessing and recognising the stages of AKI and actioning AKI care bundle Act as an advocate for the patients ensuring they are educated and informed of their condition and treatment options available to them Ensure that patients receive a high level of care by adhering to local and national guidelines Develop and manage the delivery of educational strategies and the clinical initiatives to raise and maintain the profile awareness of AKI Assist in the distribution of information to the general public, undertaking talks and lectures as required. Develop communication across divisional, regional, national, occasional international and organisational boundaries. Please see attached JD for further information.
