We are looking for a Nurse Associate to join us on Ward 32. The ward is a 16 bedded mixed sex ward specializing in Medicine For Older People. As well as experienced nursing and support staff caring for them, our patients have a large dining room/Lounge area to enjoys meals, take part in activities, watch television or listen to music as well as enjoying access to the gardens in the Patrick Cryne Unit and activities provided by a Therapeutic Activity Coordinator. Ward 32 has been awarded GOLD during the accreditation process for the last 8 years. This is an indication of the level of care, support, improvement work we give to not only our patients but also to our staff.
Trainee Nurse Associates who are awaiting their NMC PIN ready to take the challenge of being a Nurse Associate are also encouraged. For new Nurse Associates the trust has a robust preceptorship programme and you will receive excellent opportunities for development. You will be supported by our senior nursing team as well as the wider education team.
Quality patient care for patients requiring inpatient admission under medicine for older people is our key focus on Ward 32.
You will ensure the smooth running of the ward as to admission, transfer, and discharge of patients. You must be committed to providing a high standard of care and have the drive to want to make a difference to patients.
