*Looking for Clinic Nurse Reviewer/Risk Coder*
*Strongly Prefer HCC Coding Experience*
Overview:
Primarily responsible for providing expertise in reviewing and assigning accurate diagnosis codes, with particular attention to appropriate capture of risk codes based on provider documentation and evidence in the medical record. Utilizes advanced, specialized knowledge of medical codes and applicable risk models to facilitate accurate, complete, and consistent clinical documentation within the health record in order to promote accurate data reporting as well as comprehensive, high-quality patient care. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 1 year of clinical experience
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
- Certifications: LPN, RNHIM or Coding certification through AHIMA or Certified Coder through AAPC required at or within 12 months of date of hire
- Other: Oral and written communication skills, proficiency in utilizing MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to learn and navigate quickly in Epic EHR, skill in identifying and resolving problems. Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines, knowledge of coding policies and clinic operations.
